CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Shaw University women's cross country women's cross country team completed the Queens Invite Friday afternoon at the McAlpine Creek Park for its fourth meet on the 2019 season.
Out of 39 teams, the Lady Bears finished 36th overall, highlighted by sophomore Luisa Cury (Araraquara, Brazil) who was the first Shaw women's runner to finish the 5k race with a time of 21:49 for 162nd individually. Additionally, freshman Anna Schardong (Fortaleza, Brazil) ran a time of 23:54 for 218th out of 316 runners.

Shaw will return to the course on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the HBCU Challenge at the WakeMed Park in Cary, N.C.
