WOMEN’S CROSS-COUNTRY PLACE SECOND AT TROJAN INVITATIONAL

PETERSBURG, Va. Shaw University women's cross country tabbed second place at the Trojan Invitational Friday afternoon hosted by Virginia State University in Petersburg, Va. The Lady Bears posted 77 points for an average time of 25:05 for the second place finish behind VSU who finished with 26 points.

 

The Lady Bears were led by freshman Luisa Cury (Araraquara, Brazil) who crossed the finish line fourth overall with a time of 21:58 while junior Kaydi-Ann Wint (Kingston, Jamaica) and Tashay Roberts (Bloomfield, CT) tabbed 10th and 11th place with times of 23:00 and 24:29, respectively.
