VOLLEYBALL TRAVELS TO CROSSTOWN RIVAL SAINT AUGUSTINE’S THURSDAY

RALEIGH, N.C. – Riding a seven-match win-streak, the Shaw University women's volleyball team will look to extend its winning streak to eight games when the Lady Bears travel to 10 minutes away from campus to crosstown rival Saint Augustine's University on Thursday, Nov. 7 for a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division tilt.

 

The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. from Emery Gymnasium. Live coverage will be available on either www.shawbears.com or www.saintaugfalcons.com.

 

Shaw has won the last 10 matches against the Falcons entering Thursday's match. The Lady Bears are 13-8 overall, 13-1 in the CIAA and 8-1 in the South while SAU has not won a game this season with a 0-13 overall record and in CIAA action and 0-8 mark in the South.

 

While the Lady Bears are currently in first place within the division, the Lady Bears next two matches will key in order for Shaw to repeat as division champions for the fourth consecutive season.
