FLOWERS EARNS BACK-TO-BACK CIAA VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK HONOR

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the second consecutive week, Shaw University's sophomore Jada Flowers (Valrico, FL) of the women's volleyball team was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Setter of the Week announced Tuesday.

Flowers earned the accolade from last week's performance of 178 assists over five matches, totaling at least 28 assists in every match this week. Flowers had a match-high 46 assists against conference foe Virginia Union at the CIAA Volleyball Round-Up and also contributed 45 digs in all matches to help the Lady Bears to a 6-0 record on the week.  

The Lady Bears (6-7, 6-0 CIAA) will return to action Thursday, Oct. 10 at Winston-Salem State for a CIAA Division contest slated for 6 p.m.
