RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University women's volleyball team will host cross-town rival Saint Augustine's University for Dig Pink on Thursday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. The Lady Bears will look to extend its win-streak to 10 games and ninth-straight conference victory in what will be an electric atmosphere inside the historic C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium.

The Lady Bears (11-6, 8-0 CIAA) has won its last two division games, including its most recent 3-0 victory over Fayetteville State Monday night. Shaw punctuated a total team effort in the win as senior Saraya Klink (Fuquay-Varina, NC) led the way with seven kills on .429 hitting while junior Tyler Hunter (Atlanta, GA) also grabbed seven kills for a .417 hitting percentage.
Senior Keveesha Wattley (St. Croix, US Virgin Islands) is the Lady Bears leader in kills (130) and kills per set (2.32) – she ranks fifth in the CIAA for both total kills and kills per set. Senior Michelle Olmeda-Gonzalez (San Juan, Puerto Rico) has been the team's leader in assist with 341 on the year and a 6.09 assist per set average – good for fourth in the league.
Senior Kelly Murphy (Mukwonago, WI) has been a consistent producer all season on the backrow for Shaw, leading the conference in digs per set at 4.13, she has 231 digs on the season.
SAU enters Thursday's match with a 3-9 record and 3-6 mark against conference opponents. The Lady Falcons have lost its last three matches and in its most recent outing, SAU fell to Livingstone, 3-0 Monday. Brittany Jamison is the team's leader in kills (66) with an average of 1.78 kills per set.
Shaw has won the last eight matches against the Lady Falcons.
