RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University women's outdoor track and field team will participate in the 2019 Aggie Invite hosted by North Carolina A&T State in Greensboro, N.C. Friday, Apr. 12 through Saturday, Apr. 13 at the

Friday's action will begin at 4 p.m., with the men's hammer throw to be followed by the women. Day one will conclude at 5 p.m., when the men, and then the women, running the 5,000-meter race.
Saturday will open at 10 a.m., with the men's and women's discus, and field events will end at 1:30 p.m., with the women's and men's triple jump. Track events start at noon with the 3,000-meter steeplechase, and will conclude at 3:30 p.m., with the women's and men's 4x400-meter relays.
The Lady Bears have not competed since the Fred Hardy Invitational on Mar. 30 where Shaw's 4x400m relay team made up of senior La'Cherie Clarke (Raleigh, NC), sophomore Damoni Neal (Newport News, VA), senior Tashay Roberts (Bloomfield, CT) and junior Kaydi-Ann Wint (Kingston, Jamaica) set a new program record of 3.51.05 and was first place amongst DII institutions.
Additionally, the Lady Bears had eight top-10 finishes in five events at the event.
