WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD READY FOR FRED HARDY INVITATIONAL

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University women's track and field team will be competing at the Fred Hardy Invitational as its fourth meet of 2019. The two-day event is hosted by the University of Richmond and will be held at the Robins Stadium Friday, Mar. 29 through Saturday, Mar. 30.

 

Friday's events will begin at 12 noon with the men's and women's hammer throw, the running events will start at 5 p.m. with the women's 400 hurdles. On the final day of the invitational, the field events will start at approximately 9 a.m. with the women's discus while the running events will begin with the women's 100 hurdles at 11 a.m.

In its last outing, the Lady Bears competed at the annual Vertklasse Meeting in High Point, N.C. Shaw had eight top-10 finsihes, highlighted by a ninth place finish overall in the heptathlon with 3,203 total points by senior Kyla Sanders (Hampton, VA).
