NEW ORLEANS, La. – Destinee Williams of the Shaw University women's outdoor track and field team was selected second team All-American after finishing 9th through 12th in individual events during the 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships held back on May 26-27.

Williams if the first All-American to represent Shaw on the women's side since Latasha McCoy in 2002. The Leesburg, Fla., native now holds the school record in the 100-meter hurdles at 13.74 and will look to continue her career professionally.
