WOMEN’S TENNIS LOOKS TO RECOVER WITH HOME MATCH AGAINST LIVINGSTONE THURSDAY

RALEIGH, N.C.  – Looking to redeem themselves from Wednesday's setback, the Shaw University women's tennis team will return to action Thursday (Mar. 28) against Livingstone College for a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division tilt. First serve is slated for 1 p.m. at Lions Park (516 Dennis Avenue, Raleigh, N.C. 27610).

Shaw (9-4, 7-1 CIAA) is coming off a 4-2 loss to division foe Johnson C. Smith Wednesday. The loss snapped a 27-match win-streak for the Lady Bears against conference opponents, ending a seven-match win-streak for 2019 while putting Shaw second in the South standings for the first time in several years with a 3-1 mark.

As for Livingstone, the Lady Blue Bears enter Thursday's tilt on a seven-match losing skid. LC has not won a match since Mar. 25, 2018 and is coming off a 7-0 decision to Elizabeth City State (Mar. 24).

Shaw and Livingstone met earlier this season with the Lady Bears taking a 7-0 win on Mar. 12 in Salisbury, N.C.
