LADY BEARS TENNIS TRAVELS TO CATAWBA FOR ROAD FINALE

RALEIGH, N.C. – Shaw University women's tennis will travel to Catawba College Thursday, April 12 for a nonconference tilt and road finale in Salisbury, N.C. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.

 

The Lady Bears (17-1) are riding a 17-match winning streak after defeating conference foe Fayetteville State on Tuesday by the score of 7-2. Shaw is 6-1 on the road this year, the Lady Bears lone loss came during the opening contest of the 2018 season at Division I, Liberty.

 

Catawba, a member of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) is 5-12 overall and will be looking to recover from a 5-4 loss to Coker Wednesday.

 

Following Thursday's match, Shaw will wrap up the 2018 regular season with two home matches against Charleston (WV) on Apr. 14 and Elizabeth City State on Apr. 16. Both matches will be played at Worthdale Park and will begin at 1 p.m.
