WOMEN’S SOCCER MATCH VERSUS SALEM (W.V.) MOVES TO NEW LOCATION, TIME MOVES UP

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University women's soccer team will return home to face Salem University (W.V.) on Friday, Nov. 1 at the Wake Competition Center (Competition Center Drive. Morrisville, NC 27560). Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m.

 

Shaw will celebrate senior day prior to the match celebrating five senior Lady Bears.

 

Shaw returns to action coming off a 2-0 loss to Newberry College on Wednesday, Oct. 30. in Newberry S.C., dropping their record to 6-8 on the season. Two goals in the first five minutes proved to be too much for the Lady Bears to overcome.  Shaw was outshot 20-14 for the match and also 9-2 in corner kick chances.

 

Salem (W.V) enters the match 1-13 on the season dropping their most recent match to Wingate 10-1 Wednesday evening in Wingate, N.C. The Tigers are looking to end a seven match losing streak.

 

Shaw and Salem will be meeting for the second time in less than a week as Shaw came away with the 4-2 victory Saturday, Oct.26 in Morgantown, W.V.
