RALEIGH, N.C. – Coming off a 3-1 victory at Converse Tuesday, the Shaw University women's soccer team will look to carry their winning momentum into Thursday's contest when the Lady Bears square off with the Monarchs of Methodist University. Game time is schedule for 6 p.m. at the Monarch Soccerplex.
The Lady Bears are off to a great start thanks to their first win of 2018 earlier this week. Sophomore Shianne Duplantis (West Palm Beach, FL) has four saves and posts a 1-0 mark after 90:00 of action in one game at the goalkeeper position.
Methodist enters Thursday's tilt with a 2-1 mark on the year. The Monarchs are coming off a 4-0 defeat by Barton on Sept. 4. The contest featured 11 shots by Methodist and three on goal in the setback. Offensively, Capri Clark has scored two goals this season on 11 shots while Maggie Hunt has a 2-1 mark with 10 saves (.714 save pct.).
