RALEIGH, N.C. – On Wednesday, Oct. 4, the Shaw University women's soccer program will travel to Tigerville, S.C. to meet North Greenville University for a regular season match scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Pepsi Stadium.

Shaw: The Lady Bears (2-7-0) are in hopes of snapping a three-game losing-streak Wednesday. Shaw suffered a 3-0 decision to Mount Olive Monday, Oct. 2. Freshman Alana Naverrette (Sun City, CA) led the Lady Bears with two shots and two on goal in the loss.
Naverrette leads the offensive attack for Shaw with seven points on the season while freshman Katherine Inhoof (Virginia Gardens, FL) has five.
Shaw has seen three goalkeepers during its 2017 campaign, led by freshman Laura Regidor (Zemora, Spain) who has started 5-of-6 games on the season. She has 36 total saves, two shutouts and posts a 2-3-1 overall record.
North Greenville: The Crusaders (4-3-3) enter Wednesday's game after a 2-0 win over Erksine last Saturday. Karly Denaburg scored the first goal for NGU in the first half while teammate Heily Hernandez doubled the Crusaders lead in the 85th minute to secure the win.
Five Crusaders have scored four points each on the season, including Denaburg and Hernandez. Madelynn Schober has started 8-of-9 games for NGU this season and recorded 48 saves for a 3-3-3 mark and two shutouts.
Up Next: Shaw will head to USCAA opponent Christendom on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m.
