RALEIGH, N.C. - Shaw University women's bowling returns to the lanes this weekend as the Lady Bears will compete at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Round Up on Friday, Feb. 8 through Sunday, Feb. 10 hosted by Elizabeth City State in Nags Head, N.C. at the OBX Bowling Center.
The event will start at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Friday with traditional match play games, followed by an 11:30 a.m. start on Saturday with traditional match plays. Sunday will feature team Baker Matches at 10:45 a.m.
Shaw is coming off a good showing at the CIAA Event II where the Lady Bears placed second amongst the Southern Division with a 6-6 overall record.
Senior Kiana Rogers (Fort Atkinson, WI) leads the way for Shaw with a bowling average of 154.40. The Lady Bears enter this weekend's competition with an overall record of 10-14.
The Lady Bears will take on schools from the Northern Division that includes Virginia Union, Virginia State, Bowie State, Chowan and the host Elizabeth City State.
