RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University women's basketball team will host its home final on Wednesday, Feb. 19 against Fayetteville State University inside the historic C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division contest and senior night. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
The department of athletics will recognize a total of 12 senior student athletes from men's and women's basketball and cheerleaders.

Wednesday's tilt will be the second meeting between Fayetteville State and Shaw this season as the Lady Bears fell 68-55 back on Jan. 11.
Shaw enters the game 6-18 overall and 2-13 in the CIAA while FSU is 16-8 overall and 13-2 in the league. The Lady Bears have lost its last 10 games, including a 71-65 setback to rival Saint Augustine's on Friday (Feb. 14). The Broncos have won its last seven games, highlighted by 68-59 win over Winston-Salem State on Feb. 15 which gave them the division title for third straight season.
The Lady Bears leading scorer is senior guard Dejoria "DJ" Howard (Orangeburg, SC) averages 13.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per outing. Katisha Hyman leads the Broncos in scoring with 17.3 points while Shantel Bennett posts 11.7 points and Aminata Johnson contributes 10.4 points and a team-high 6.1 rebounds.
