RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University women's basketball will head to Lincoln (PA) University for a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) contest on Saturday, Feb. 1. The game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. from Manuel Rivero Hall in Lincoln, Pa.

The Lady Bears have lost its last six games, including a 72-58 decision to Winston-Salem State on Monday (Jan. 27). Shaw enters Saturday's game with a 6-14 overall record and 2-9 mark in the CIAA.


Saturday's game will be the second meeting between Shaw and Lincoln (PA) this season. The Lady Bears snapped the Lady Lions three game win-streak when LUPA came to Raleigh on Jan. 9 as Shaw earned the 61-53 victory in Spaulding. The game was also tagged as a non-conference tilt.


Since the loss against Shaw, the Lady Lions have won its last six games, including an 83-44 win over Virginia State on Jan. 27. LUPA enters this weekend's action with a 19-3 overall record and 9-1 stand in the CIAA.


Senior Dejoria "DJ" Howard (Orangeburg, SC) is Shaw's leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 13.1 points 6.2 rebounds per outing while Lincoln (PA) is led by Kwanza Murray with 19.6 points. The leading rebounder for the Lady Lions is Alisia Machado (7.8).
