The Lady Bears are 3-4 and 0-1 the CIAA after Saturday's setback to the undefeated Bulldogs of BSU. Shaw will look to snap the two game losing skid against a Lady Vikings team that has not won since they defeated the Lady Bears on Nov. 23 in Elizabeth City, NC as a non-conference contest.

During the last meeting between the two teams, the Lady Bears erased a 20-point deficit in the fourth quarter before falling just short of a comeback, 54-45. Asia Deal led all scorers with 19 points while junior forward Diamonique Kennedy (Beggs, OK) led Shaw with 16 point and six rebounds.

ECSU is also on a two-game losing skid after falling to Winston-Salem State (55-45) on Dec. 7. The Lady Vikings leading scorer is Deal (13.6 ppg), while Devona Stell and Naterria Luster add 12.6 and 11.7 points, respectively. Stell averages a team-high 10.6 rebounds while Luster adds 9.0 rbg.

Senior guard Dejoria "DJ" Howard (Orangeburg, SC) posts 16.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per outing to lead Shaw on both sides of the ball. Additionally, Kennedy and guard Ariana Fleming (Newark, DE) add 12.4 and 10.9 points, respectively.

The Lady Vikings has won the last three meetings against Shaw but the Lady Bears have won 14 of the last 21 meetings against ECSU.
