RALEIGH, N.C. – Shaw University women's basketball will head to crosstown rival Saint Augustine's University Saturday, Feb. 16 for a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division tilt at Emery Gymnasium. The game is slated to tipoff at 2 p.m.

This will be the second meeting between Shaw and Saint Augustine's women this season. The Lady Falcons defeated the Lady Bears 85-80 in overtime last time out which that was the first time SAU had won a game inside the historic C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium in 11 years. Junior Macy Keen (Fort Lauderdale, FL) scored 30 points and grabbed 13 rebounds during the last meeting between Shaw and SAU.
Within the South standings, Shaw is 0-9 in seventh place while SAU is sixth with a 2-7 mark on the season.
The Lady Bears (6-19, 1-14 CIAA) have lost its last two games, including a 73-61 setback to Winston-Salem State Wednesday night where Shaw faced a deficit as large as 30 points before rallying back to outscore the Rams 38-23 in the second half in the shortfall. Keen scored a team-high 21 points, eight rebounds, six blocks while junior Victoria Swanson (Monmouth, OR), and senior KlinTisha Martin (Atlanta, GA) added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The Lady Falcons (3-19, 2-13 CIAA) have not won a game since they defeated Shaw on Jan. 25. SAU has lost its last four games including a 72-54 decision at Winston-Salem State last weekend. Kamya Renwicks scored 20 points to lead the Lady Falcons in scoring while Kiana Clark added 14 points.
SAU is 2-9 at home this season as the Lady Bears stand 1-9 on the road.
