RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw women's basketball team closes out its non-conference campaign at home on Monday, Jan. 21, hosting Salem University at 6 p.m. in the historic C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium. The Lady Bears (4-12) take on the Lady Tigers (3-13) for the first time since 2016.

General admission is $10, non-Shaw students with school ID is $7 and all Shaw students are free with school ID.

Shaw looks to keep up the winning momentum after defeating Paine, 65-55 in its last outing on Jan. 16. The Lady Bears had three players' record double-doubles led by junior Macy Keen (Fort Lauderdale, FL) who registered 18 points and 21 rebounds – marking her seventh double-double of the season.

The Lady Bears average 64.9 points, 42.3 rebounds and 13.6 assists per game. While Shaw's leading scorer junior Tahniya Sweatt (Pasadena, CA) continues to be out with an injury, the Lady Bears have relied heavy on senior KlinTisha Martin (Atlanta, GA) who averages 14.0 points per game and Keen who now posts 12. 6 points and 11.0 rebounds per night.

Salem heads to Raleigh with a 2-8 record on the road, the Lady Tigers fell 93-82 to Shippensburg Saturday. Nia Bishop scored a team-high 20 points while two other players finished in double digits. Bishop is the team's leading scorer with 15.0 points per outing in just five games played on the season thus far while Alicia Smith (13.6) and Precious Price (12.3) are two and three on the scoring list for a Salem team who posts 74.2 points per game.
