RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University women's basketball team will take on William Peace University on Thursday, Nov. 30 at Hermann Athletic Center with hopes of snapping a two-game losing skid. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Shaw dropped a 71-68 decision to Cheyney on Nov. 25 at Virginia State University in Petersburg, Va.
The Lady Bears, now 1-4, looks to bounce back against a Pacers team that is 0-2 and coming off a 91-55 loss at Pfeiffer on Nov. 20.
In their last outing, Shaw came up short in the final seconds of the game versus Cheyney. A costly turnover and a defensive let down by the Lady Bears deflated their chances of winning the contest. The Lady Bears post 65.2 points, 41.2 rebounds and 14.4 assists per game.
WPU, a member of the USA South Conference and Division III member is averaging 48.5 points per game while allowing their opponents to score 92.5 points. The Pacers have two players charting double figures in scoring led by Whitney Walker who averages 15.0 points while Mikayla Ray adds 11.0.
