BEARS TENNIS COME UP SHORT AT SALEM, 4-2

SALEM, W. Va. –The Shaw University men's tennis team came up short against Salem University (8-2) Wednesday (Apr. 3). The Bears dip to 5-6 overall with the loss, snapping a two-game win-streak.

 

Shaw earned the doubles point, garnering wins at the No.1 and 2 doubles by the scores of 6-2 and 7-5 but in singles play, the Bears suffered losses at the No. 1, 2 and 3 positions.

 

Senior Daniel Ac (Kikinda, Serbia) battled for a 7-6, 4-6, 6-4 win at the No. 4 position but the Tigers took the No. 6 with a 6-1, 6-0 win to come away with 4-2 edge.

 

The Bears will return to action on Apr. 13 at West Va. Wesleyan for a 1 p.m. match.
