RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University men's soccer team will be looking to win back-to-back matches for the first time this season as the Bears travel to Greenville, Tenn. to face Tusculum College Wednesday, Oct. 9.Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. from Pioneer Stadium.

The Bears are coming off an impressive 4-0 victory of Mars Hill Saturday, Oct.5,bringing their record to 2-6-1 on the season.
Freshman Brandon Linares (Kernersville, NC) gotthe Bears on the board first before the half scoring his fourth goal of the season to put Shaw ahead 1-0 at the half. Shaw applied pressure the rest of the match scoring three more goals in the second half while limiting Mars Hill to just six total shots with only three being on goal.
Tusculum returns to actions coming off a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Anderson (SC) Sunday, Oct. 6. The Pioneer's enter Wednesday'scontest with an overall record of 2-5-1 dropping their last two matches. Tusculum puts an average of 12.8 shots on goal per match while allowing just 1.80 goals on the defensive end. The Pioneers are the defending champions from the SAC (South Athletic Conference).
Wednesday's matchup between the Bears and Pioneer's will be the first ever between the programs.
