RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University men's soccer team will look to find an offensive breakthrough when the Bears face Lincoln Memorial Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the LMU Soccer Complex. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m. in Harrogate, Tenn.
Offensive woes continued this past Saturday for Shaw as the Bears dropped a heartbreaking 1-0 contest at Coker. Coker pushed ahead in the 70' and withheld a few late chances from the Bears to send Shaw to its fourth straight defeat.
Shaw sits at 1-4 on the season overall. The Bears were shutout for the third straight contest and now see their goalless streak stand near 325 match minutes.
Lincoln Memorial enters Tuesday's contest with a 1-2-2 records overall on the 2019 season. Most recently the Rail Splitters were 2-0 winners over Queens (NC) this past Saturday at the LMC Soccer Complex. LMU collected goals during each half for the conference victory over fellow SAC foe Queens.
Tuesday's matchup will be the first overall matchup between Shaw and Lincoln Memorial.
