Shaw will be looking to continue its winning ways coming off an exciting season opening 2-1 OT victory over Bloomsburg last Sunday at the MAC. Freshman Brandon Linares (Kenersville, NC) and senior Andre Matzuda each scored goals for the Bears answering a quick goal from the Huskies. Matzuda was credited with the game winner to push the Bears record to 1-0 on the early season.
The Barton Bulldogs travel to Raleigh also with a 1-0 record early into the 2019 season. The Bulldogs opened the season with a 3-2 victory over Catawba in Wilson last weekend. Barton finished its 2018 campaign 8-7-1. The Bulldogs are a member of Conference Carolinas.
