This will be the second meeting in program history between the Bears and the Huskies. Shaw held off a late
rally from the Huskies for a 2-1 victory on Sept. 9 in Bloomsburg, PA last year.

Shaw will be looking for its first season opening victory, hoping to avenge last season's 5-1 defeat to Chowan.
Shaw carries a two game winning streak over from the 2018 season where the Bears finished 7-8-1 overall.

The Bears look to improve on their road record from a year ago which saw Shaw drop seven road matches
while winning four and tying one. Shaw was impressive at home winning three of their four home matches with
its only blemish being an OT loss to Coker on Sept. 25.

Coming off a six-goal season, senior Andre Matzuda (Gardena, CA) will look to shore up the Bears on the
offensive side as the leading goal scorer returning. Sophomore Theo Delaleu (Les Essarts Le Roi, France)
returns to man the keeper position for Shaw. Delaleu started 11 games for the Bears last season posting a 3-4-
1 record with two shutouts and a .658 save percentage.

Shaw returns 14 letter winners while adding 12 new members to the 2019-20 squad.

First year head coach Randy McClure leads the Bears and is assisted by Matt McCormick.

The Bloomsburg Huskies were picked to finish fifth in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East
Division preseason coaches' poll. The Huskies finished their 2018 slate 8-9-1 with those eight wins being their
most since the 2015 season. Bloomsburg is led by second year head coach Danny Wheelan.
