RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University men's basketball team returns to the court Monday, Jan. 27 to face Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division leader Winston-Salem State University inside historic C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.

The Bears enter Monday's contest at 4-16 overall, 1-9 in the CIAA and 0-6 Southern Division play, with their most recent defeat coming on the road at rival Saint Augustine's University Saturday, Jan. 26, 105-94.
Junior guard Greyson Kelley (Raleigh, NC) leads the Bears in the scoring department averaging 20.8 points per game. Senior guard DaVaughn Kelsie (Richmond, VA) follows at 16.9 points per game while freshman guard Nigel Martin (Cleveland, OH) also averages in double figures at 14.8 points per game.
Winston Salem-State (9-8, 7-2 CIAA, 3-1 Southern Division) enters tomorrow's matchup coming off a 61-54 Southern Division win at home against Fayetteville State University on Jan. 25. On the season, the Rams have had two double figure scorers in Robert Colon (16.0 ppg) and Jaylen Alston (12.6 ppg).
Most recently, the Bears have been on the winning side of their contest against the Rams having not dropped a game to Winston-Salem State since 2015.
