MEN’S BASKETBALL SET TO TRAVEL TO ELIZABETH CITY STATE

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University men's basketball team will continue its road skid when the Bears travel to Elizabeth City State University on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. from the R.L. Vaughn Center.

 

Tuesday's matchup will be deemed a non-conference matchup with the Bears and Vikings meeting again in Raleigh on Dec. 12 counting as the annual cross-division contest.

 

The Bears enter the contest 3-1 overall coming off two impressive victories at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA)/Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Conference Challenge last weekend.

 

Junior guard Greyson Kelley (Raleigh, NC) leads Shaw in scoring averaging 29.3 points per outing.  Freshman guard Dhashon Dyson (Chicago IL) follows with 18 points in a reserve role while senior guard David Madol (Manchester, NH) leads the Bears in the rebound department, collecting 7.5 per contest while also adding 16.3 points.

 

ECSU also enters Tuesday's matchup at 3-1 overall most recently defeating former CIAA foe Chowan, 82-73 on Nov. 14.
