The Bears are coming off a 93-86 overtime win on the road at Clayton State led by senior Savon Goodman's (Philadelphia, PA) 31 points and eight rebounds. Shaw outscored the Lakers 15-8 in the overtime period for the win. Senior DeAngelo Stephens-Bell (Jacksonville, FL) and sophomore DaVaughn Kelsie (Richmond, VA) added 24 and 17 points, respectively.

Wednesday's victory snapped a three-game losing skid for Shaw as the Bears will look to break a two-game skid at home with Saturday's contest with the Panthers. The Bears are 1-2 in Spaulding so far on the season and hold an overall record of 3-4 on the year.

In seven games, Shaw averages 81.9 points per game, including 47.3 percent from the floor and 74.5 from the charity stripe. The Bears are responsible for 36.4 percent from the 3-point line while dishing out 15.3 assist a game.

VUU sports a 3-4 record coming into Saturday's game. The Panthers recently defeated Winston-Salem State 87-67, on Nov. 26 at home. Kori Cooley scored a game-high 24 points while Jordan Thornton added 17 points.

On the season thus far, the Panthers have three players averaging double digits in scoring led by Cooley (13.4 ppg), James Paige and Todd Hughes post 11.4 and 10.0 points per game. In seven games, the Panthers are putting up 67.7 points per outing while holding their opponents to 67.3 points a game.

VUU is 0-3 on the road this season.
