RALEIGH, N.C. – Toryeon Hester, the recruiting coordinator and wide receiver coach of the Shaw University football program has been selected to coach in the 2019 United States 18-Select Team at the 11th International Bowl in Arlington, TX on Jan. 15 at the AT&T Stadium – home of the Dallas Cowboys. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. (CST).

Hester is in his fourth season as the Bears recruiting coordinator and wide receiver's coach. He has coached three All Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) receivers, including First Team recipient and senior Kevonta Moses this past season while in 2018, senior Marquis Gorham (Greenville, NC) and junior Daniel Bender (Jacksonville, FL) both tabbed Honorable Mention honors. Bender would go to become the program leader in single season receptions and single game touchdowns in that same season under Hester's watch.

Additionally, former receiver Trevante Long (Greenbelt, MD) became the program's all-time leader in receptions after surpassing former record-holder at 92. Long concluded his career with 144 total receptions in 2017 also under Hester's guidance.
