RALEIGH, NC - Shaw University's volleyball team has been selected to repeat as the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) champions, according to preseason SIDA poll. After an impressive 2023 season where the Lady Bears captured the conference title and later made school history earning its first NCAA Tournament victory, the team is poised to defend their championship with a talented roster and strong leadership. The Lady Bears finished with a program high 31 wins.
Head Coach Jonathan Paulk, who guided the Lady Bears to last year's success, expressed confidence in the team's ability to maintain their high level of play. "We've worked hard during the offseason to build on our strengths and address areas of improvement. The players are motivated, and we're ready to take on the challenge. We're still hunting"
