RALEIGH, NC - The Shaw University department of athletics held its annual awards banquet inside historic C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium April 15, 2024. The annual events highlights the accolades of Shaw student-athletes for the academic year on and off the playing surfaces.
This years keynote speaker was two-time Super Bowl champion Willie Parker who played collegiately at the University of North Carolina before a successful career in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers winning two titles while earning two pro-bowl appearances. The ceremony also included presentations from the Shaw Bears Nation Booster Club along with the Dr. Al Carter Foundation who awarded two scholarships this year in memory of the former Shaw AD.
