BALTIMORE, MD - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announced its yearly honors for men's basketball Sunday evening ahead of the 2024 CIAA Tournament. Earning honors was Shaw forward Shayne Saigo and guard DJ Thomas. 

Saigo was a consistent force on the season tallying 14.0 points per game along with pulling down 4.9 rebounds. The senior forward from Knightdale poured in a season-high 29 points against Bluefiled State University in December. Saigo turned in seven 20 point performances during the regular season including 16 double figure scoring games. 

Thomas also helped gear the Shaw offense adding 14.0 points per game including a season-high 24 against Johnson C. Smith in late January. The Raleigh native finished the regular season with 19 double-figure scoring outings while adding 32 steals and 52 rebounds on the year.
