RALEIGH, N.C. — Shaw University linebacker Quewon Hilliard has been named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Linebacker of the Week following an outstanding performance in the Bears' recent match up against Johnson C. Smith this past weekend.

Hilliard, a redshirt freshman from Fayetteville, NC, delivered a dominating performance on defense, recording 11 total tackles, including seven solo tackles, and one tackle for loss. His relentless pursuit of the ball and leadership on the field were critical in holding the top ranked offense in the CIAA to just 325 total yards and 60 yards rushing for the entire game. 

Hilliard and the Bears will return to the field on Saturday, October 26 as they travel to Fayetteville, NC to face the Fayetteville State Broncos. Game time is slated for 2:30 PM.
