RALEIGH, NC - Giovanna Coghetto of Shaw University was selected Women's Soccer Division I National Player of the Week by the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). The Lady Bears' forward scored a three-goal hat trick in a 6-1 victory over Virginia State on Sept. 16. 

The Shaw sophomore added an assist in the win. She now has a team-high five goals for this season. 

A native of Trevisto, Italy, Coghetto is the NCAA leader in shot accuracy. She also ranks 13th nationally in shots on goal per game and 18th in goals per game.
