RALEIGH, NC - Darius Abraham of Shaw University was selected CIAA Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in the HBCU Classic in Atlanta over the weekend.

The freshman guard from Charlotte, N.C., averaged 12.5 points in two games as the Bears split a pair of contests. He finished with 13 points, including four three-pointers, in Shaw's slim defeat (69-66) to Talladega College. The next day, Abraham pumped in 12 points on 4 of 7 shooting from three-point range in the Bears' 74-48 win over LeMoyne-Owen.
