RALEIGH, N.C. – Kaydi-Ann Wint is the Lady Bears program record holder in the 400m, 800m and 1500m races for the Shaw University women's outdoor track and field team.
Wint has been a standout the women's outdoor track and field team since her breakout performance at the 2018 CIAA Championships where she captured the gold medal in the 800m (2:14.94) – her sophomore season. That season, Wint helped the Lady Bears to fourth place finish in the CIAA Championships (programs first top-4 finish since 2008) and was named to the NCAA DII All-Region Team.
During her junior season (2019), Wint won a gold medal in the 800m race (2:16.01), silver in the 1500m (4:56.96) and was a member of the Lady Bears 4x4 relay team that earned bronze (3:52.94) all at the CIAA championships. Additionally, she set the program record in the 800m that season (2:13.05) at the Aggie Invite (Apr. 13) and was named to the NCAA DII All-Region Team for the second straight season.
Wint is a 3X All-CIAA recipient for the Lady Bears cross country team – including a sixth-place finish during the 2019 CIAA XC Championships with a finishing time of 21:20.8 in the women's 5k race.
