RALEIGH, N.C. – Only in her sophomore season, Jasa Curry has made quite the mark on her career thus far as a member of the Shaw University women's soccer team.
Although the soccer program is still relatively new for Shaw, Curry set a program record of 23 goals scored which ranked sixth in the nation during the Lady Bears second season as a NCAA DII sponsored sport in 2018. Not only was she second in DII for goals per game (1.44), she also helped the Lady Bears to a 12-4 overall record – a program best while registering 51 points (program record) and seventh in DII.
This past season (2019), Curry led the team for the second straight season in goals scored (7), points (15) and game winners (3).
Curry also holds the program record in winning goals (5) and was Second Team All-Atlantic Region – first player to ever garner the award and First Team All-State North Carolina Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) honoree in 2018.
