SHAW ATHLETICS CELEBRATES BLACK HISTORY MONTH: DARRELL ASBERRY

RALEIGH, N.C. – Who is the most winningest coach Shaw in football history?

Darrell Asberry led the Bears football program to three CIAA Championships (2007, 2008, 2010). He took over the program in 2006 and after going 3-7 his first season at the helm, Asberry quickly revamped the program into a powerhouse within the CIAA.

Asberry combined for a 40-24 overall record in six seasons (.625), two NCAA playoff appearances and three CIAA championship appearances. He was named CIAA Coach of the Year twice (2007, 2010) and the 100 Percent Wrong Club Coach of the Year also in 2010.
