LAURA AKER

HEAD VOLLEYBALL COACH

Laura Aker is entering her third year as Shaw University’s Head Volleyball Coach.  Prior to taking over the helm in August 2004, she served as assistant softball coach for 10 years.

Going into the 2006 season, Aker has a 11-25 record.

Aker enjoyed a successful softball career at SU earning team MVP honors each year of her collegiate career.  She is a 1991 graduate of Shaw University with a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting and Criminal Justice.
