SHAW VOLLEYBALL LEND A HELPING HAND

October 6, 2007– Raleigh, NC – The Shaw University Lady Bears Volleyball team dedicated a Saturday afternoon to lending a helping in the community. The scholar-athletes linked up with Tonya McNeil, Director of the Carolina Pines Community Park & Recreation Center, and staff to support and assist in their celebration of 35 years of service. The Lady Bears arrived in the early part of the morning to assist with pre-event operations; including setting up the tattoo table and Winnie the Pooh inflatable. Head Coach Laura Akers served with smiles alongside Sybil the Clown to make the day a success. All events were initiated at 12:00 Noon and did not concluded until 3:00 p.m.
