Lady Bears Volleyball and Softball Team in the Community
Raleigh, NC – (October 23, 2006) This year of community service resembles years of the past for the Lady Bears Volleyball and Softball teams of Shaw University. Head Coach Laura T. Aker is currently in her 3rd year at the helm of the Volleyball program which is currently ranked 3rd in the CIAA Western Division. Both teams participated in the Annual Halloween Carnival at the Carolina Pines Community Center.
Coach Aker stated, “I really enjoy taking the teams to work with programs in the community. It is a small measure of giving back.”
The Lady Bears Volleyball team will take on the Vikings of Elizabeth City State University on Wednesday, October 25th at 6:00 p.m.
