Curtis, Enitan Receive Awards at Spring Meetings
Shaw head women's basketball
coach Jacques Curtis and head men's and women's tennis coach
Sunday Enitan received Coach of the Year awards (Enitan received
award for men's tennis) at the annual CIAA Spring Meetings at
the Raleigh Crabtree Marriott.
Curtis led the Lady Bear to their second-straight CIAA
Tournament Championship and a berth in the NCAA South Atlantic
Regional. Enitan led the Shaw tennis team to the eastern
division crown and runner-up finish in the CIAA

Two Lady Bears Named All-CIAA
Rashida Riley and Victoria Enebechi were named to the
2004 All-CIAA team. Riley, a senior from Bronx, NY won the
#3 CIAA Singles Championship this year. Enebechi, a
sophomore from Lagos, Nigeria finished runner-up in the #1
singles at the championships this year.

Women's Tennis Finishes Third at CIAA Championships
The Lady Bears of Shaw University
finished the tournament in third place overall with 49 points as
they continue to close the gap between themselves and the CIAA's
elite women's tennis programs. Rashida Riley was the
