WOMEN'S TENNIS CIAA CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP
Petersburg, VA - On April 18, 2002, CIAA history was made with the introduction of the first women's tennis championship held in Petersburg, VA. In the No. 1 singles Shaw brought home two victories by default with Tshholofelo Mthenjane defeating Jessica Tillman of Winston Salem Kimberly Bond of Elizabeth City State. In No. 3 singles play Rashida Riley defeated Aja Charity of Virginia Union (8-6).
