SU LADY BEARS ENTERING CIAA TENNIS TOURNEY AS #1 SEED

4/17/06 – For the third consecutive year the Shaw University Lady Bears Tennis team is entering the CIAA Tennis Tournament as Eastern Division Champs and the #1 seed.

Leading SU is senior All-CIAA #1 singles, Ffion Fletcher.  The Montego Bay, Jamaica native is presently 16-0 and is taking an impressive two year 35-0 mark into the tournament.

As a team, SU is entering the tournament 14-1 in the CIAA mark and 16-2 over-all.  Their only CIAA setback was a 5-4 setback by CIAA Western Division Champion Fayetteville State (March 18).
