SHAW VS. BOWIE

In
game one the Lady Bulldogs scored three runs in the first
inning and never looked back. Bowie State ended the game via the
eight-run rule, by scoring four runs in the bottom of the fifth. Shaw
managed only three hits of Julian Willey.
Game two was a much different story as the Lady Bear bats came to life. Shaw's big inning was the third as they scored six runs, capped off by Joia King's three-run triple. Felicia Sprattley allowed only one earned run while scattering four hits over seven innings. She helped her own cause by going 3-for-5 with two runs scored. King went 3-for-5 with 4 RBI and two runs scored. Shaw runs its record to 11-14, 11-1 in the CIAA. |
