Moore Named All Conference
Michelle Moore was the only Lady Bear named to the All-CIAA bowling team.  The freshman from Raleigh played 39 games and knocked down a total of 7,254 pins and finished third in the conference with an average of 186.0.

Lady Bears Win Round-up
After a couple of second place finishes, the Shaw bowling team won the CIAA Round-up on the last day of Baker Events.  Shaw had 33 match points, followed by Fayetteville State with 30 and third was Bowie State with 27.  Click here for full results.

Bowlers Finish Second at Eastern Division Tournament
Michelle Moore was named Most Outstanding Rookie and MVP as the Shaw bowling team finished second in the CIAA Eastern Divisional play at AMF Lanes in Raleigh.  The Lady Bears finished the match with 8,507 total pins, second to Bowie State's8,657 pins.  Virginia State was third with 7,668 pins, Elizabeth City State was fourth with 7,223 pins, St. Paul's was fifth with 6,857 pins and Virginia Union was sixth with 5,356 pins.  Click here for results.

Bowling Team Finishes Second
The Shaw Women's bowling team finished second in the match held this past weekend with a score of 7694 scratch pins. The team had a average of 766 and won 24 match points. Lavonia Cromartie and Lisa Bradsher were the top players for the team as they finished with 1739 pins and 1535 pins respectively.

Shaw Finishes Second at Round-up
The Shaw women's bowling team finished second at the CIAA Round-up this past weekend.  The Lady Bears finished one point behind winner Elizabeth City State.

The Lady Bears will again be in action October 31 - November 2 in eastern division match play in Petersburg, VA at Walnut Hill Lanes.

Shaw to Participate at CIAA Round-up
The Shaw women's bowling team will participate in the annual CIAA round-up October 17-19 at the AMF Capital Lanes in Raleigh.  The Lady Bears will bowl beginning at noon on October 17.

SHAW BOWLING FINISHES THIRD AT TOURNAMENT
Raleigh, NC - The Shaw women's bowling team finished third at the bowling tournament held this past weekend at the AMF Capital Lanes. The Lady Bears had 15 match points and six baker points for a total of 21 points. The Lady Bears finished the tournament with a 5-3 record.


SHAW BOWLING FINISHES FOURTH AT ECSU EVENT
Elizabeth City, NC - The women's bowling team finished fourth at the ECSU bowling tournament held in Elizabeth City this past weekend. In match one the Lady Bears lost to ECSU 0-2. In match tow the Shaw lost to Virginia State 0-2. The Lady Bears got their first win with a 2-0 win over St. Paul's in match three. In match four Shaw spilt with Bowie State 1-1. In the fifth match of the weekend for the Lady Bears, the crushed Virginia Union 2-0 (710-565, 716-636), finishing the weekend 5-5.
