LADY BEARS SNAP TWO GAME SLIDE WITH WIN OVER

NC - The
Shaw University Lady Bears snapped a two game losing streak with an important
CIAA Eastern Division win over the Lady Panthers of VA. Union 86-67. The win improved the Lady Bears to 5-4 in the Division and 13-11 overall,
while the Lady Panthers are 0-7 and 8-14 overall.
The
Lady Bears leading scorer Jamie McDonald was held to six points, but was in
double digits with a season high 12 assists.
It was senior forward Daniel Jones led the Lady Bears with 17 points,
along with senior guard Chiante Wester 16 points, senior guard Patrice Hearns 13
points and sophomore center Latasha Shipman with 11 points.
The
Lady Panthers were led by Latoya Taylor who led all scorers with 21 points. LaToya Daniels also finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
