Shaw women's basketball assistant coach James Hill was named the CIAA Assistant Women's Basketball Coach of the Year.  This is the second-straight year that Hill has won the award.

Hill has been instrumental with the Lady Bear basketball program for the past four years.  This past year, he helped lead Shaw to its third-straight CIAA Tournament Championship, the South Atlantic Regional Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Elite 8.

Hill is from Macon, GA and played at Shaw from 1980-83.  He received his bachelors degree from Shaw University in 2003.
