PRESEASON PREDICTIONS
FOR MEN & WOMEN BASKETBALL
Charlotte, NC – On Thursday, October 11, 2007, administrators and associates of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association met at the Charlotte Convention Center for the Men & Women Basketball Press Conference.
Head Coaches Jacques Curtis and Robert Brickey stood before conference colleagues and media to voice their team’s season performance outlook. Curtis enthusiastically expressed the Lady Bears’ focus of being “in it to win it” as Brickey verified the Bears’ push to be strong contenders in the conference.
The Bears received a pres-season prediction finish of 5th place in the Western Division while Damola Obadina (#30 / Forward / Junior / Minneapolis, MN) was chosen as a pre-season pick on the Pre-season All-CIAA team. Although the Lady Bears did not receive any pre-season All-CIAA player picks, the Lady Bears were given a pre-season prediction finish of 1st place in the Western Division.

Support the Lady Bears in C.C. Spalding Gymnasium on October 24, 2007 as they engage in an exhibition against the Houston Jaguars. The season opener is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Head Coach Brickey will lead the Bears to kickoff their season against his alma mater, Duke University. The game will be held in Durham, NC and is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
