SHAW HOSTS HOME OPENER AGAINST HOUSTON
 

October 24, 2007 – Raleigh, NC – The CIAA’s Preseason Picked #1 Shaw University Lady Bears hustled to the hardwood for the first time of the season in an unofficial game against the Houston Jaguars of the National Women’s Basketball League. C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium was packed to capacity as the elbow-to-elbow seated supporters were wowed by Shaw’s team chemistry and exciting play. Since the season-opener was an exhibition, there were no official scores and statistics computed.
 

The Shaw University Lady Bears will continue exhibition play as they travel to Norfolk, VA on October 31, 2007 to take on the Lady Monarchs of Old Dominion University. The game is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
